What does director Spike Jonze, Frank Ocean, and Brad Pitt all have in common? While they may seem like an unlikely grouping, the trio was seen together at Frank Ocean’s FYF set in Los Angeles this past weekend, possibly hinting at a new unknown project for the near future. Spike Jonze was videotaping Brad Pitt sitting down on his phone, directly in front of the stage Frank Ocean was performing on. Frank could be seen on the huge projector screens on the left and right, while the middle one stayed fixated on Brad Pitt just sitting with his cellphone to his ear.
This isn’t the first time major director Spike Jonze was caught filming the melodic singer, as he was also seen filming another Frank Ocean set at the Lovebox Festival in London earlier this month. Could all three just be huge Frank Ocean fans like the rest of us? Considering Jonze has a history of directing epic music videos for icons like the Beastie Boys and Weezer, and Pitt has supposedly always been a dedicated Frank Ocean listener, it’s possible. However, with creative forces like these three, it’s more likely they’re in the process of some kind of project, and we all can’t wait to see what it is.
Frank Ocean has recently been connected with several others in the music industry, collaborating with long time friend Tylor the Creator and featuring on Jay Z’s newest album 4:44.
