Alison Wonderland @ Electric Factory 9/22

Sydney based DJ and producer Alex Sholler, known by her stage name Alison Wonderland, is one of the best up and coming DJs of this generation. Since her career began in 2008, signing with EMI Music Australia. In 2015, Alison Wonderland was nominated for ARIA Music Awards for Best Video. Alison Wonderland released her debut album, Run, in 2015 which peaked at number 6 on ARIA Music Charts. Alison Wonderland has been known to fuse future garage and chillwave with her sets.

After signing with EMI Music, Alison Wonderland started to gain popularity with her highly successful debut single, “Get Ready”. The single was released in 2013. The following year, Alison Wonderland released her debut EP Calm Down. “Cold” and “I Want U” were featured singles released to promote the EP. “I Want U” reached the 38 spot ARIA charts. On February 11, 2015, Alison Wonderland released “U Don’t Know”, the lead single from her debut album, Run. The music video for the single gained a lot of popularity on YouTube for the use of actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The single rose in the ARIA music charts and peaked at 63. The single gained more than 4 million streams on Spotify. Run was released in March 2015 and April 2015 overseas.

Alison Wonderland went on tour in support of her album. Her debut album continued to rise, peaking at number 12 in New Zealand. Alison Wonderland released a deluxe version of her album with remixes of her most popular hits in the fall of 2015. In 2016, Alsion previewed a new song at a show she played. The single, titled Messiah, was later released as a single in 2016.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
