Dhani Harrison has released the details for his upcoming solo release, IN///PARALLEL, and he has also released the first single from the record, the electro-psychedelia tinged “All About Waiting” as reported by Rolling Stone
While Harrison, the son of Beatles guitarist George Harrison, has been busy doing film scores and playing in other bands, this marks the first time that he is stepping out on his own. The song is built upon a foundation of pulsating synthesizers that weave in and out of the mix over which Harrison delivers a series of layered vocals combining choral arrangements and intricate left to right panning.
Alternating between laid back verses and soaring choruses, “All About Waiting” manages to keep the listener’s attention throughout its duration and sees Harrison effectively synthesizing modern electronica along with classic psychedelic rock. Harrison has announced two live dates so far: one on July 24th at The Echo in Los Angeles, and an appearance at the Panorama Festival on July 30th in New York City.
IN///PARALLEL will be released on October 6th on BMG.
