Though many names have been nominated as greatest modern stand-up comic, Dave Chappelle may be one of the closest to such title. And to celebrate his thirty-year anniversary in stand-up comedy, the legend will be performing a special 14-night LIVE FROM RADIO CITY Residency special.
But even with such a massive name taking center-stage, it would be hard to imagine a fortnight’s worth of shows without some special guests. And with Chappelle at the front lines, there are some incredible talents that will be gracing the stage throughout the Residency. Chappelle will be combining his love of comedy with his appreciation of hip-hop by sharing his stage with a variety of comedians and musicians.
Special guest artists throughout the run include The Roots, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Common, Vince Staples, Big Boi (as part of the four-day #Rootsapalooza run), Chris Rock, Jeff Ross, Arsenio Hall, Erykah Badu, Chance The Rapper, Trevor Noah, Childish Gambino, Ms. Lauryn Hill, yasiin bey, Talib Kweli, Ali Wong, John Mayer, and Lil Jon, with even more still to be announced.
Chappelle is coming right from a successful set of critically-acclaimed Netflix specials and a record-setting sell out at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Casino, so hopefully he’ll continue his streak to create an especially special two weeks for fans in New York City.
