Alex Cameron is a synth pop musician straight out of Sydney, Australia. Cameron started out his career in 2006. He was also a part of the electronic group Seekae, before fully embarking on his solo career. Cameron has adopted the persona of a failed entertainer as his stage character. Roy Molloy is alongside Cameron on stage playing the saxophone. While performing at a show in Paris, Cameron got the attention of Foxygen. Soon after, he was touring with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Mac Demarco and Kevin Morby.
Cameron has released one album during his solo career. In 2013, he released Jumping the Shark on his website for free. Once Cameron was signed to Secretly Canadian, they re-released his debut album in August 2016, which brought in more attraction. The album cover shows the wrinkles and marks he applied to his face to add to his stage character. His second album Forced Witness will be out on September 8th. Be sure to check out his new single and music video “Candy May” here.
