Tei Shi @ The Fillmore 9/22

Canadain indie pop singer Valerie Teicher, best known by her stage Tei Shi, is one of the most underrated artists of her time. Fresh off the release of her new debut album this year, Crawl Space Tei Shi is currently touring the US on a limited city tour. Tei Shi released her debut EP, Saudade in 2013. Tei Shi has released a few singles including, “M&Ms”, “Nevermind the End”, and “Keep Running” during her career. Tei Shi appeared on indie rock band Glass Animals’ single, “Holiest” in 2014.

After attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Tei Shi moved to New York. During the summer of 2013, Tei Shi released her debut single, “M&Ms”. The single would later appear on her debut EP. In November 2013, Tei Shi released another single, “Nevermind the End” and another single, “Nature vs. Nurture” two days later. Tei Shi finally released the EP on November 12, 2013, with the previous singles. The following year, Tei Shi released a music video for “Nevermind The End” on YouTube. In March 2014, Tei Shi was featured on the track, “Holiest” for English rock band Glass Animals. During the summer, Tei Shi collaborated with Gianluca Buccellati for a cover of singer Beyonce’s “No Angel”. Tei Shi released her second EP, Verde in 2015 under Double Diemen Records. The single, “Bassically” received over 7 million streams on Spotify.

Since 2015, Tei Shi has appeared all over the world at various festivals including Coachella and Electric Forest. Tei Shi recently opened for bands like Young & Young, Jungle, and Grimes. Tei Shi has also been hard at work on her newly released debut album, Crawl Space.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
