When it comes to British rock bands, Kasabian is a staple in the scene. They first broke through in the early 2000s with their self-titled album, and just this year they released their sixth studio album For Crying Out Loud on Columbia Records. Kasabian has made a name for themselves because of their aggressive, sexy and catchy rock, which keeps taking them to the top of the UK charts time and time again. And they just keep going. But when you headline such a major festival like Glastonbury (which they did back in 2014) there’s no reason to stop the fire. So Kasabian just keeps rockin’ on.
Kasabian is also one of those bands who is known for their charisma on stage, creating a magnetic energy that keeps the crowd thirsty for more. And with songs like “Fire” from West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum and “Let’s Roll Just Like We Used To” from Velociraptor! it isn’t hard to keep the crowd in a delicious frenzy that makes them feel sexy and excited and feelin’ life. Terminal 5 is one of those prime venues for that kind of show, too. Kasabian will perform their guts out.
While defined as being primarily indie-rock, Kasabian finds a way to weave in different genres, as well. Some songs are jagged, some are electronic-dancey, some are seriously Brit-rock while others have an 80s flavor (especially on 48.13). But wherever these badass rockers find themselves genre-wise, they have themselves pretty figured out and they understand exactly what their fans want–which is always more, more, more.
