Shout Out Loud @ Underground Arts 10/30

Shout Out Loud, an indie pop band is performing at Boots and Saddle this fall. Shout Out Loud has been out of the spotlight since 2013. Their last album, Optica, was released on February 26, 2013.  The album peaked at number 8 on Billboard US Top Heatseekers, while only peaking at number 12 on Swedish music charts. The album performed more overseas than in their home country. In their career, Shout Out Louds has released a few EPs, including their highly popular Oh, Sweetheart EP. The band is currently signed with SME Sweden Records.

Before their success, Shout Out Loud first played small gigs around their hometown of Stockholm. The band released their EP, 100 in early 2003. A few months later, the band released their debut studio album, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff. The international version of the album wasn’t released until 2005. The album peaked at number 35 on Sweden music chart. The album was produced by the band itself while BMG Sweden Record released. The following year, Shout Out Loud released two EPs, Very Loud and Oh, Sweetheart. Shout Out Loud toured the UK in various cities. Shout Out Loud released their follow-up album, Our Ill Wills in 2007. Shout Out Loud hit single, “Tonight I Have To Leave It” peaked at number 4 on Billboard US Dance chart.

Shout Out Louds would release their fourth album, Work, in 2010. The album would come with recently released singles, “Walls” and “Fall Hard”. The album reached number 5 on Billboard US Heatseekers and number 21 Sweden music chart. Shout Out Louds have toured with The Rosebuds, The Strokes, and various others.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
