Post-hardcore band Quicksand from New York will be loading up the tour bus this Fall for their upcoming tour around North America, their first time touring in the United States since the beginning of 2013. The tour will last the whole month of August, performing in a new city almost every day, and trickle into September. Quicksand will be playing in cities like San Francisco, CA, Houston, TX, and their home state in the big apple. Check below for the list of dates, cities, and venues that Quicksand will be hitting up this fall.
Last year the group was on the festival circuit, headlining at the Rockstar Energy Drink Taste of Chaos Festival alongside Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional. They also performed at the Wrecking Ball festival with fellow headliners Thursday, and Drive Like Jehu.
Everything for Quicksand seems to be sailing a lot smoother, than say ten years ago when they broke fans’ hearts all around the world after splitting up in 1995, giving fans hope of a reunion, and then squashing that dream again in 1999 for an “indefinite” breakup. Fast forward to 2012, Quicksand performed on stage together for the first time in 13 years and have been trucking on, playing festivals and touring the globe.
Lead singer Walter Schreifels, however, has been keeping himself busy with side projects such as his newest band Dead Heavens, who went on tour last winter and just released a new album entitled Whatever Witch You Are on June 16.
