Lorde @ Oracle Arena 3/13

Dream-pop mega star Lorde is traveling to the bay this upcoming year. The artist will be performing at the Oracle Arena on March 13rd in 2018. She will be promoting her recent release on her Lorde: Melodrama World Tour.

Lorde found her breakthrough as a teenager, which was, well, only a few years ago. The then 16 year old released her pop sensation Royals and she only gained success from there. From two Grammy awards to being a noted member of Taylor Swift’s notable squad this young women has only begin her rise. Recently, Lorde dropped her sophomore release studio album Melodrama earlier this month. The singles Green Light and Perfect Places have already gained success prior to the release of the album. Other notable songs include Sober, Liability, and Homemade Dynamite. Previous to that Lorde’s debut and breakthrough came from her 2013 album Pure Heroin. That album is known for the aforementioned hit Royals, Team, Tennis Court, Glory and Gore, and 400 Lux. She has also been featured on the popular movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s album with the song Everyone Wants To Rule The World and the next movie The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Pt.1 with the song Meltdown. She was also featured on Disclosure’s song Magnets. The Grammy winner is known for her dream-pop sound and her dynamic and unique voice is what makes her songs so successful. Her angst filled songs about adolescence or love are relatable and intriguing.

Fans of Lana Del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds, or Imagine Dragons will be down for this show. Lorde is one of the young talents that will be a staple in music for the time to come. She’s incredibly talented and showcases this in her live shows as she doesn’t use any sort of instrumentals when she performs. She allows for her voice and her message to take center stage and that’s pretty freakin’ brave for a 20 year old.
