What was originally a side-project from the beloved experimental indietronica band Black Moth Super Rainbow has become a pretty well-known act for Thomas Fec, the mastermind behind experimental electronic act Tobacco.
Following last year’s Sweatbox Dynasty, the California native is back with a brand new single.
“Got Wet in the Bomb Shelter” is an incredibly dense piece of electronic production, offering a heavy dosage of in-your-face synths and unorthodox melodies. Even for Fec, “Bomb Shelter” is a pretty explosive track, living up to its “meatstep” genre tag.
Tobacco will also be performing later this year in Los Angeles on August 24 at the Telegram Ballroom, as well as in Chicago for Riot Fest this year on September 15. In addition, Black Moth Super Rainbow will also be performing at this year’s Desert Daze festival, which is held from October 12 to 15, in Joshua Tree, CA.
