Hope Sandoval Announces Fall 2017 Tour Dates

Dream pop dream team Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions are planning to hit the road in 2017, with 10 US dates already announced for this autumn. Tour dates listed below.

An ideal supergroup for people that have been following shoegaze and alternative music for the past 30 years, Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions pairs the titular frontwoman of Mazzy Star and Opal fame with drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig of My Blood Valentine.

The announcement of their tour dates comes after the 2016 release of their third album Until the Hunter on Sandoval’s own Tendril Tails record label. The album was their first since 2009’s Through the Devil Softly.

Shortly before announcing the new album last year, the group treated fans to two advanced singles “Isn’t It True” and “She’s in the Wall.”

Sandoval has also been active with Mazzy Star in recent years, releasing the album Seasons of Your Day in 2013. Following the recent death of original Mazzy Star drummer Keith Mitchell on May 14 of this year, the group’s future remains unclear. Ó Cíosóig, who has frequently played with Mazzy Star including on their most recent tour in 2013, could likely be tapped to complete the roster.

In addition to Mazzy Star goings-on, Sandoval also contributed vocals to Massive Attack’s 2016 track “The Spoils,” her third vocal collaboration with the trip hop pioneers.
