British indie rock band elbow have released a new video for the song “All Disco,” from their recently released album Little Fictions. The video is done in a documentary style where people are asked about their own personal experiences with music and what music means to them, in addition to asking them about their favorite albums/artists and guilty pleasures. Set to the anthemic stomp of the song “All Disco” in the background, the film provides great insight into the wondrous power of music and how deeply personal it is to people.
Shot on Record Store Day in April of 2017 the video follows an eclectic group of individuals ruminating on their favorite music throughout a packed city-scape: weaving in between record stores, streets, music stores, and cafés. The combination of deep personal stories with the uplifting wail of “All Disco” a track that merges shimmering guitar tapestries with Guy Garvey’s emotional vocal delivery makes for a memorable and unique experience.
Little Fictions has won elbow high praise from critics and fans alike, proving that the band, now in its 20th year of existence, can still put out compelling and sonically dazzling recordings.
elbow will be embarking on a tour of North America this fall in support of Little Fictions.
