Cradle of Filth Announce New Album Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay with NSFW Cover Art for September 2017 Release

Extreme metal band Cradle of Filth have announced the details for their latest album, Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay, which is set to be released on September 22nd on Nuclear Blast. The album will be a follow up to 2015s Hammer of the Witches and will continue the blistering and ferocious metal that the band has been known for since their inception.

The album was recorded with longtime producer Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios, with bandleader Dani Filth also assisting with the production and mixing. The gothic-inspired album art was done by Latvian artist Artūrs Bērziņš who also handled the album’s photography and videography. Now in their 26th year of existence, Cradle of Filth show no signs of slowing down or relenting on delivering their extreme brand of gothic influenced metal.

When asked about how the album title came about Filth commented:

“The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. ‘Cryptoriana’ implies the Victorian’s infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle ‘The Seductiveness Of Decay’ further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation.”

Cradle of Filth also announced their first tour dates of the year, an 11-date trek through the UK and Ireland set to kick off around Halloween. More tour dates will be announced shortly as the band prepares to spend a significant amount of 2018 touring in support of Cryptoriana and bringing their high energy stage show to the rest of the world. Filth and company are excited to return to the UK and Ireland and they are looking forward to delivering a performance that will live up to the fan-base’s high expectations.
