Rostam Announces New Album Half Light for September 2017 Release

Last we’ve heard from Rostam or Rostam Batmanglij he announced his depart from Vampire Weekend to go solo in January 2016. Since, he’s released two independent singles called  “EOS” and “Gravity Don’t Pull Me” as well as co-writng Frank Ocean’s “Ivy” from his most recent album Blonde.

Now, Rostam has announced the release date of his first solo album called Half Light which will be coming out September along with a new single “Bike Dream.” He describes the title of his album as the definition of the meaning behind his songs. Half Light refers to both down and dusk that he explains as the grey area and duality that he has faced in his own life. As an immigrant living in America and growing up a queer boy, he experienced delving into different worlds and cultures that have influenced the songs on Half Light.

Although he will still be contributing to Vampire Weekend, this will be his first album produced by him only and to see the album art and track list, check it out below.
