Basilica Soundscape has announced the lineup for the 2017 event that will be held from September 15-17 at Basilica Hudson. This year’s lineup includes Zola Jesus, who’s recently announced a new album and released a new song, Priests, who earlier this year released Nothing Feels Natural, and Thou.
Basilica Soundscape is an annual festival that has different forms of art such as music, literature and visual art, located at Basilica Hudson. Basilica Hudson is a non-profit art center in Hudson, New York. This center was founded in 2010 by Melissa Auf der Maur and Tony Stone. According to the press release this location makes its home in a reclaimed 1880s industrial factory on the waterfront of the historic City of Hudson.
According to Brooklyn Vegan, the festival is organized by the venue’s founders and creative directors, Melissa Auf der Maur and Tony Stone, with The Creative Independent‘s Brandon Stosuy. The artists that will be performing at the Basilica Soundscape festival are Bing & Ruth, Blanck Mass, Emel Mathlouthi, Jlin, John Maus, Moor Mother, Priests, Protomartyr, Serpent With Feet, Thou, Yellow Eyes and Zola Jesus. There will be readings by Darcie Wilder, Eileen Myles and Patty Schemel. There will be visual art by Emma Kohlmann, Jesse Draxler, Marianne Vitale and Naama Tsabar.
