One Love Manchester Organizers Defend Noel Gallagher In Statement

Noel Gallagher was initially called “sad fuck” by his brother and former bandmate Liam Gallagher for his absence at the One Love Benefit concert that took place in Manchester to raise money for those affected by the bombing last month.

Noel was not in attendance and it was because he was never scheduled to be there. There were rumors circling of possible Oasis reunion at the concert when Liam performed several Oasis songs alongside Coldplay, in addition to new single “Wall of Glass,” and many were surprised that Noel was nowhere to be found. However, Noel was planning to support the cause in another way.

A spokesperson for SB Projects, Live Nation, Festival Republic and SJM Concerts has released a statement to defend the artist, stating that Noel not only gave his blessing for Coldplay to use his songs, but also that he was donating his royalties from ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to the efforts to help the victims of the bombing.

Coldplay member Chris Martin also thanked Noel for allowing them to use his songs and One Love Manchester organizers explained that they were not expecting his presence.
