Oh Sees Drop the Thee, Release New Song “The Static God” and Announce New Album Orc for August 2017 Release

Oh Sees, formally known as Thee Oh Sees, have announced a new record, Orc which will be released on August 25th on Castle Face records, according to a press release. After 20 years of existence the band might be dropping the Thee from their name but they are not slowing down, with Orc being their 19th release.

The band has released a new song from the album, the hyper-powered “The Static God” via the Castle Face Records Soundcloud. Featuring the enigmatic John Dwyer spearheading the attack on vocals and guitar, the current lineup also includes Tim Hellman on bass, Dan Rincon and Paul Quattrone on drums. With cascading bursts of guitars, manic vocals, silky bass and a furious amount of groove from the double drum setup, The Static God captures Oh Sees continuing the path of merging pop songcraft, punk rock intensity, and dreamy psychedelia. In addition, Oh Sees will be embarking on a 3-month long tour of the US and Europe this summer.
