Welsh pop-punker band Neck Deep are rolling into the bay this summer. The band will be performing at the Shoreline Ampitheater on August 4th. They will be opening alongside the band I Prevail for fellow rock band Pierce the Veil. The two opening acts are accompanying Piece The Veil on their The Made To Destroy Tour.
Neck Deep began back in 2012, which doesn’t seem so long ago, but in reality was five years ago. The band despite its youth has released two studio albums, three EPs, and a total of 13 music videos. They recently announced that they will be releasing their third studio album titled The Peace and the Panic. It will be released for our enjoyment on August 18th. Neck Deep released it’s singles Happy Judgement Day and Where Do We Go When We Go recently. Their other two albums were released in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Other big hits the band is known for include my personal favorite Part of Me, Over and Over, December, What Did You Expect?, Silver Lining, Can’t Kick Up The Roots, and Gold Steps. Fortunately for the British based band, they have found success in both Europe and North America, both of which they tour extensively. Neck Deep’s sound has the classic pop-punk vibes. Vocalist Ben Barlow mixes the combination of power singing, which is common in the punk scene, and alternative rock. The music is in your face, angry, angsty, and full of, well, power. Neck Deep employs the classic fast tempo, angst ridden lyrics, and songs full of anthem style lyrics.
Fans of A Day To Remember, Real Friends, or Four Years Strong will be down for this show. Not only is the featured band awesome, the openers are just as fantastic. Neck Deep brings energy, power, and fun to their shows. So, my dudes, hit up this show and spend a little bit of that rent money to guarantee a good time.
