Rising Rapper Post Malone will be heading into the Bay this summer. The rapper will be making a stop in Oakland at the Oracle Arena on August 6th. He will be a part of the lineup for the KMWL’s Summer Jam 2017 Concert. Post Malone is one of five big name rappers, which include Ty Dolla Sign, Omarion, Meek Mill, and Yo Gotti.
Post Malone is relatively new to the music scene, but in the past year he’s blown up. His debut album, Stoney was released last year. It is known for his hits Congratulations, White Iverson, Go Flex, Too Young, and Deja Vu. He debuted his initial hit single White Iverson back in 2015 and that song is still bagning on the radio. The rapper has also released a mixtape titled August 26th back in 2016. He recently announced that he will be releasing his anticipated sophomore album Beerbongs And Bentleys. Post Malone’s rap style is full of basketball references, hence the title of his debut single, he’s got a soft flow that makes him distinct from other rappers currently in his freshman class of new rappers, which is working to his advantage. He’s different. The rapper has been featured on other successful rapper’s tracks. For example, Kanye West’s Fade features the rapper and Ty Dolla Sign and he’s featured on the artist watt’s Burning Man song.
White Iverson was the song of 2015, Congratulations dominated the radio waves this pace spring. Post Malone may be a newcomer, but he’s taking over and proving he’s here to stay on the top of charts. So, catch this show, it’s gonna be sick.
