In a recent interview with Rolling Stone about his solo album, Eagles of Death Metal guitarist Dave Catching has let the world know that the band recorded two tracks with Kesha for her upcoming album.

Via Rolling Stone, Catching said “She used to come to Eagles shows when she was 16. She was always a big fan. Then I remember we got back from Europe … and she was on every magazine cover when we landed from a tour. It was really amazing.”

In 2014, Kesha similarly collaborated with the famous psych-rock band, The Flaming Lips, to record a collaborative album called Lip$ha. The album was supposed to be released in 2014, but was unfortunately suspended due to Kesha’s legal battles with her producer Dr. Luke. The album was rumored to include at least six to seven collaborative tracks, mainly with Flaming Lips’ front man Wayne Coyne, who has also previously collaborated on an album with pop star Miley Cyrus.

The collaborative album would be a much-celebrated triumph for Kesha, whose career has recently been extremely publicized and restricted due to her legal battles with Dr. Luke. About three years ago in 2014, Kesha filed a lawsuit against the producer, alleging sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment, unfair business and intentional negligent infliction of emotional distress. Since then, the pair has been battling back and forth in court, with Dr. Luke filing several counter suits, and Kesha gaining little progress in also attempting to break her contract with the producer.

Amidst the battles, she has still been able to complete a world tour and record an album, which she did so on her own before giving them to her label. The album, which will feature the songs with Eagles of Death Metal, has no released name yet, but will be Kesha’s third studio album.

Eagles of Death Metal recently finished up a Spring U.S. tour with heavy metal band Mastadon, and are the main subject of recently released HBO documentary. The film, titled Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis, was directed by Colin Hanks, follows the band as they begin to put their lives back together after being at the center of a large-scale mass-shooting and terror attack in Paris. At their November show at the Bataclan theatre in 2015, the lives of 89 concertgoers were taken, including the band’s tour manager Nick Alexander. The film was released in February, and touches on the band’s relationship with their fans as well as their recovery from the incident.
