Radio 104.5 8th Annual Summer Block Party @ Festival Pier

It’s that time of the year again! When summer hits, the music hits harder. Philly’s own Radio 104.5 is back at the Festival Pier for their 8th annual Summer Block Party. Radio 104.5 is based in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and was founded back in 1965. Radio 104.5 is owned by iHeartMedia and known for broadcasting modern rock or alternative. Previous events had recurring artists like Goo Goo Dolls, Logic, and Dashboard Confessional. Radio 104.5 broadcasts to over 5 million listeners daily. The shows are all free throughout the summer.

The Summer Block Party 2017 lineup will include live performances The Revivalist, Missio, July Talk, Irontom, and The Vital Stats. While the doors open at 2 pm, the shows won’t start until 3 pm. Tickets start to go on sale April 12th at 12 noon. Radio 104.5 Summer Block Parties are presented by AT&T while Miller Lite is the official beer. There will be booths set up all around the venue giving away special gifts. At the end of the series, Radio 104.5 treats fans to the first ever Endless Summer Show to close out the summer. The Endless Summer Show will take place at XFINITY Live! Below are some the dates for shows. Radio 104.5 announced more dates and bands are to follow in the upcoming days.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia.
