Rozwell Kid @ Sidewinder 7/25

Rozwell Kid is an indie-punk band from West Virginia that formed in 2011. The quartet consists of Jordan Hudkins on vocals and guitar, Adam Meisterhans on guitar, Devin Donnelly on bass and vocals and Sean Hallock on drums and percussion. The group is currently under SideOneDummy Records. Rozwell Kid’s tunes have a bit of a Weezer feel mixed with a more punky and emo sound to it.

The band released their first LP, The Rozwell Kid, in 2011. Overall, they have one EP, two splits and three albums. Rozwell Kid’s upcoming album, Precious Art, will be out on June 23. They have released two singles from the new album, “UHF On DVD” and “South By,” both songs are very different from each other. Though “South By” is a short song, it has a nice piano melody that gives the band a break from the normal punky guitar they put in. “UHF On DVD” sounds like it has an alien playing the guitar at the beginning, but it’s all put together nicely as the song goes on.
