The Irish indie-pop band, Two Door Cinema Club, will be coming to town in September. The band was formed by three members: Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird. Knowing each other from grammar school, Trimble and Halliday decided to form the band, and met Baird soon after to fill in the third spot. They were first called Life Without Rory, and had even performed their first show all being at the age of sixteen. In 2007, they changed their name to Two Door Cinema Club.
Two Door Cinema Club started gaining attention online after releasing their first EP, Four Words to Stand On, in 2008. Overall, they have released three albums and two EPs. Gameshow is their latest record that was out in late 2016. The band has performed a good amount of significant music festivals, to name a few of them are Austin City Limits, Glastonbury, Leeds Festival, Lollapalooza and Coachella. Some fan favorites by the group are “What You Know,” “Undercover Martyn,” “Sleep Alone” and “Something Good Can Work.”
See Two Door Cinema Club at ACL Live at the Moody Theater on September 19th.
