Nicole Atkins has set a release date for her new album Goodnight Rhonda Lee, which means that fans should be getting excited. The album was announced but it now is set for official release on July 21st and as many artists do, she has put out a single to precede the album.
The new single is entitled “Listen Up,” and as Atkins described she wrote the song as letter to herself. The song is a powerful anthem about not beating yourself up so much, which is a message many people need to hear.
The album will be her first in nearly three years and was recorded with Fort Worth, TX’s Nile City Sound, a.k.a. producers Austin Jenkins, Josh Block, and Chris Vivion.
Be sure to stay tuned for this album’s release and check her out on the road since she is currently on tour.
