Scottish rock band, Franz Ferdinand, revealed their new line-up following the departure of founding member Nick McCarthy last year and will begin a North American tour on May 21st. The band’s original lineup was composed of Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, Bob Hardy, and Paul Thomson. McCarthy left the band after 14 years to concentrate on family, and Franz Ferdinand has confirmed the guitarist wouldn’t be taking part in either the recording or touring of their upcoming album. McCarthy thanked the band’s fans “for being such an inspiration over the years” in this statement:

Franz Ferdinand took to social media to unveil not one, but two new members who will be replacing McCarthy. Joining the band are Dino Bardot and Julian Corrie. Bardot previously played in the indie-rock Scottish trio 1990s, and Corrie has performed as electronic artist and producer under the name Miaoux Miaoux. His addition to the band is a sign that the line-up is not the only changes to come for the rock influenced band.
