Janet Jackson started her career in 1976 by acting in The Jacksons television series. She was born in Gary, Indiana and was the youngest out of ten children. The Jacksons were a family of musicians, and they sure proved that throughout the years. Being Michael Jackson’s little sister, she of course followed his footsteps in the walk of fame. Janet released her first studio album in 1982 through A&M Records. The pop icon kept releasing albums throughout the following years. Janet became a figure known for her complex shows, roles in television and films and sexuality she began introducing on stage and through her records.
Being such a pop icon, some of Janet’s top hits are “Rhythm Nation,” “Nasty,” “That’s the Way Love Goes” and “When I Think of You.” Throughout her career, she has sold over 100 million records. Janet has won several Grammy Awards and hit the Billboard charts many times for her singles. Not only is she considered a best-selling artist, she is also one of the most awarded artists. This will be a show fans will not want to miss as she goes on her “State Of The World Tour” throughout North America.
