Mutoid Man Release Downtempo New Song “Bandages” Featuring Chelsea Wolfe

This summer, the Boston-bred and New York based band, Mutoid Man, is set to release their powerful sophomore album War Moans. The new album will be released on June 2nd via Sargent House. Before the world can scream with excitement, the band debuted the closing track today from the album titled “Bandages” which features vocals and auxiliary instrumentation from label mates Chelsea Wolfe and her longtime collaborator Ben Chisholm.

Nick Cageo, the bassist for Mutoid Man commented on the single saying, “We wanted to write a Mr. Big-style arena rock ballad.” The new single is a moody and hypnotic that will rip through hearts with no remorse. As the opening chords break through, fans will no doubt have their lighters up, waving them around throughout its 4 minute track. “Bandages” has haunting lyrics that are sung with a wounded heart. One can close their eyes and be transfixed by the emotional vocal range of the songwriter’s emotional story.

On War Moans, the band Mutoid Man (which also includes Steve Brodsky on guitar and Ben Koller on drums) bask in their love of frantic, ferocious, no-frills rock’n’roll – no riff deemed too extreme, no drum pattern considered too absurd. Mutoid Man’s live shows have become an exercise in showmanship; band’s stage one-upmanship carries over to their songcraft, yielding an album of ridiculously savage hooks and next-level dexterity.

Beside Mutoid Man, Koller has finished albums with All Pigs Must Die, The Armed, Converge, and Killer Be Killed. With 2017 a busy year, he is excited to see what the future holds for these metal bands as well as their fans. Read what he had to say here.

The band will be on the road this summer with Sargent House label mates Helms Alee as well as opening for Coheed & Cambria for two of their shows in New York City. Check out out the tour dates here and keep a watchful eye for their album, War Moans which will be released June 2nd, 2017. You can pre-order now on HelloMerch or iTunes.
