Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble Provide a Throwback Feel In New Video for “The Woman With The Invisible Necklace”

Laetitia Sadier is breaking grounds with her latest music adventure with her recently released music video, “The Woman With The Invisible Necklace”. Lush, ornate synthetic arrangements wash over with a sweltering and hushed finesse in the latest single. The new single from the album, Find Me Finding You which was released with her band the Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble. Best known for her lead vocals in the French band, Stereolab, Sadier strikes new chords and touches on familiar keys that fans can connect with.

The video, directed by Olia Eichenbaum, presents visuals that are reminiscent of propagandist films from the 20th century. The music overlaps with visuals that at times don’t make sense but that is the beauty of the video. Pictures burn and fade away catching glimpses of the band behind mics that appear and disappear as snippets of history, cuts of photography coming to life like movies on a screen.

“The Woman With The Invisible Necklace” is a statement that suggests for a moment that we are all complacent while the world around us burns. The song is filled with mellow organ tones and gentle guitar chords that is both hypnotic and entrancing. The lyrics brush on poignant themes that take aim at political and interpersonal ideologies. Sadier has released a couple of music videos to showcase the new album including “Love Captive” and “Galactic Emergency“, both tracks and videos bring together visuals and ideals that the songs represent.

Find Me Finding You is the fourth album which was released via Drag City on March 24 by Sadier and the gang who continues to roll through Europe with her extensive tour. Fans in America will get their shot to see Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble when they embark across the USA. The band will criss-cross all across the states to to squeeze as many performances in as many cities as they can in the span of a month before returning to the UK.
