LP @ El Rey Theatre 6/12

“I go Johnny Cash on that shit and just get through it.” The rock rebel, LP, is about as raw as they come. Penning hits for artists such as Rhianna, Backstreet Boys and Cher, she initially made her name as a world-class song writer. Ukulele in hand, voice booming with soul and spirit, and pulling no punches, LP’s unwavering mass appeal almost disguises her underground feel and character that has been sharpened by several years in the industry.

Her debut album Forever For Now was released in 2014 and the lead single Into The Wild landed her on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Austin City Limits and swept fans off their feet at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The single also gained much critical acclaim and commercial success catching the eyes and ears from members of the Wall Street Journal, Buzzfeed and Vogue, just to name a few.

Now on tour, she boasts a fantastic and captivating set lifting fans to higher levels using her melodic voice and powerful personality. She’ll be live as ever at the El Rey Theatre on June 12.
