One of the best electronica bands to come out of Canada is headed to the Philly area. Holy Fuck has been around since 2004 and shows no sign of stopping. The band has been known to perform with outrageous non-instruments to get electronic sounds. The band unique sound of not using a computer has made them not like any other. Holy Fuck has released 4 studio albums and a few EPs since their humble beginnings. Holy Fuck is currently signed with Innovative Leisure Records.
Holy Fuck as performed at various festivals around the world. Getting their start at Coachella in 2004, Holy Fuck went on to play Lollapalooza, CMJ Music, Evolve, Montreal Jazz Festival, and SXSW Festival in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Holy Fuck’s music has been featured on the popular Canadain tv show Kenny vs. Spenny. In 2005, Holy Fuck released their debut album, which was named as one of Montreal top 10 albums of 2005. The following year, the band headlined their first world tour in Europe and the US. Holy Fuck continued to gain success in the upcoming years, earning a nomination for Alternative Album of the Year at 2008 Juno Awards. The band released their third album, Latin, two years later.
After the release of the album, Holy Fuck continued to gain attention. The band toured with singer M.I.A on a limited venue tour around the US. Over time, Holy Fuck reached the top of the music charts with their style. Holy Fuck has proven why you don’t need fancy equipment to be great.
