Four years following the release of their 2013 self-titled album, psychadelic rock band MGMT just announced their new album title which means it should be coming…soon! The upcoming album is called Little Dark Age, and the band played some of their newest songs featured on the LP at their first few shows so far of 2017. The band just kicked off a tour in North America, where they will be stopping to perform at FYF and Life is Beautiful festival in between cities. Along with the album title announcement, MGMT dropped a little teaser video from their Instagram account that shows a mix of behind-the-scenes footage of making the album and of course, trippy visuals. Click here to watch the video.
Along with FYF and Life is Beautiful, MGMT will also be taking the stage at Mamby on the Beach in Chicago, IL. this summer, headlining alongside Flying Lotus and Miike Snow. A couple years ago after the release of their self-titled album, the band played at Coachella and performed alongside Kid Cudi and Haim. That same year, they were also featured on Down the Rabbit Hole lineup next to Damon Albarn and the Black Keys.
