Indie pop band Blossoms makes their way to The Foundry this summer. The band has released their debut album last year which debuted at number 1 on UK Albums chart. Their music has been described as dream pop with a mixture of alternative. The group continues to climb higher into the pop music charts. The Blossoms have released a few singles along with 3 EPs in their career.
Blossom began their career in England with Tom Ogden, Charles Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan, and Myles Kellock in 2013. In January 2014, the band released their first single, “You Pulled a Gun on Me” and later a music video. Their single garnered the attention of Skeletons Records who signed them in the Spring of 2014. During the summer, Blossoms would travel all across the UK promoting their upcoming self-titled EP on their first tour. In the Fall, Blossoms quit their full-time jobs to focus on music full-time by headlining their second tour of the year. After the release of their EP, Blossom saw an increase in fans. BBC invited the band to play a set at the SXSW Festival in 2015. That same year, Blossoms toured all over the US playing at small festivals.
In the years since Blossom was formed, the band has proven time and time again that they know music. Blossom would go on to release their second album with high praise, topping the charts. Since the release of their lastest album, Blossom has been hard at work on their new album. Stop by the Foundry to see this great band at the start of the summer.
