Azizi Gibson @ Social Hall SF 7/8

Rapper Azizi Gibson is coming into San Francisco this summer. He will be appearing at Social Hall SF on July 8th. This stop will be a part of his The Protein Shake Tour.

The rapper is a part of the rap collective preHISTORIC crew, which comprised of Gibson and rapper Angelo Belcher. Gibson, a Maryland based rapper, is an up and coming rapper. Recently, Gison announced that he will be releasing another album this year, Memoirs of the Reaper, which literally released today! Hit up iTunes or Spotify and catch some of these tunes! My personal favorites include Freak and Lost. His most recent release was 2016’s Ghost in the Shell (yes this is named after the manga!). That album is known for the songs Party Woman, Kim K, and Crunch Time. Well… really I think you can call 2016 Gibson’s best year yet, because besides Ghost in the Shell, he also released three other albums that year! They are in order of release preHISTORIC Till Death, A New Life, and Backwards Books (Reloaded). Other than that it was his release in 2014 with the album Backwards Books. His hit songs are Smoking With the Gods, Toast, Freak, Crown Violet, DJ Khaled, and Cabaret.

Fans of Tyler, the Creator, Kirk Knight, and Deniro Farrar will be down for this show. This rapper’s flow is rad and his voice is unique in timber. His raps themes are simplistic and classic, but Gibson isn’t over reaching or trying hard to fit in. His music fits him, his persona, and his style. Grab a ticket and check this guy out!
