Last year was one hell of a year for Grammy award winner singer Frank Ocean, as he released two albums. One titled Blonde and another that was played through a streamed video on Apple Music as fans watched Frank paint. With the release of Blonde he was met with critical accliam but, that couldn’t even protect him from a lawsuit from his father over what is said about him in the album. Overall, Frank Ocean had a good year and this hope to be just as good but unfortunately a bump in the road has appeared in the form of a performance cancellation at Sasquatch.
According to PITCHFORK, due to production issues, Frank Ocean has cancelled his set at the Sasquatch music festival and has been replaced by LCD Soundsystem. But, fans should not panic because it does not appear that these “production issues” will prevent Ocean from performing at other festivals later on in the years.
This year, Frank Ocean has been releasing new music though his Apple Music radio station. He released a video for “Biking” featuring JAY Z and Tyler The Creator. He also released “chanel” much to the excitement of his dedicated fans who are waiting to hear if a new album will arrive later on in the year.
UPDATE (5/11): Frank Ocean has cancelled another headlining set, this time at Hangout Festival in Alabama. He will be replaced by Phoenix.
.@wearephoenix Due to production delays beyond his control Frank Ocean will be unable to perform. He passes on his apologies & hopes to return to AL soon.
