Cold War Kids @ Shoreline Ampitheatre 6/10

Indie Rockers Cold War Kids will be making a stop into the Bay area this summer. They group will be performing at the Shoreline Ampitheatre on June 10th. They will be one of the bands performing that day at the 105 BFD music festival. The band will be playing the Main Stage, which will also be shared with other hot bands Milky Chance, Franz Ferdinand, Phoenix, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.

Cold War Kids’ origins began back in 2004 when the band formed in Long Beach. The band is a cool mix of indie rock and blues. Their latest release came earlier this month with their sixth studio album L.A Divine. That album is known for the songs Love Is Mystical, Can We Hang On?, Restless, and So Tied Up. Previous to that the band has released five studio albums which include 2006’s Robber & Cowards, 2008’s Loyalty to Loyalty, 2011’s Mine Is Yours, 2013’s Dear Miss Lonelypants, and 2014’s Hold My Home. The band broke through into mainstream success with their 2011 song Hang Me Out To Dry which hit radio charts. Other big songs the band is known for include Louder Than Ever, Miracle Mile, First, Love on The Brain, and All This Could Be Yours.

Fans of Local NAtives, The Airborne Toxic Event, and Matt and Kim will be into this band. I’ve been a fan ever since I heard the band’s song Miracle Mile and have been following the band ever since. Grab a ticket and check this band out!
