Sometimes an artists will step beyond their success and use their talent for a great cause and that is the case in this scenario. A number of comedians, singers, visual artists, and actors have decided to launch a product called “7 -inches for Planned Parenthood” a series of singles that will benefit the healthcare organization. If you have been paying attention to the political climate over the last year or so then you know Planned Parenthood has been a center point in many conversations.
According to CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND, one of those singles by Chvrches “Down Side Of Me” off of their 2015 album Every Open Eye. The new release also comes along with studio performance video directed by Kristen Stewart.
Lauren Mayberry had this to say, “ ‘Down Side Of Me’ was not written specifically for this project but I really like how the lyrics can be interpreted in a way that supports the goal of the project as a whole,” she continued “We should all be able to have faith that our governments are working in our best interests — and if they aren’t then, they should be challenged and held to account. ‘I’ll believe that you’re all that you said you would be.’”
Fans still have something to hold out for because Chvrches became working on a new album earlier this year. Hopefully, this would mean that a tour is coming soon.
