If you don’t know about Rick Ross, you must have lived the past 10 years under a rock. American rapper Rick Ross has had a huge impact on today’s hip hop and other artists. Whether producing or rapping himself, Rick Ross has been at the center of every major hit single these past years. The rapper has surpassed what it means to be successful and an all around superstar. During Rick Ross’ career, the rapper has released six albums with another two coming out in 2017 and 2018. Rick Ross is currently with Maybach Music Group, the record label for which he founded.

Rick Ross made his way into the music scene with his highly successful debut album Port of Miami back in August 2006. The album earned a spot at the top of Billboard 200 Album chart, selling over 200,000 units in the first week. On the album was Rick Ross’ hit single “Push It” based off the popular Scarface film. In March 2008, Rick Ross released his second album Trilla. The album featured guest appearances from R. Kelly, Trey Songz, Nelly, Jay-Z, and many others. Four of the album’s singles reached the tops spots of their respective charts. Rick Ross’ next two albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don had the same success as the first two, climbing charts.

Rick Ross has sold out various shows all over the world. His lyrics have made him a household name when it comes to music. In 2016, Rick Ross released a number of singles, each one better than the last. Rick Ross recently released his ninth studio album Rather You Than Me this past March. With another album due out in 2018, Rick Ross shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
