Pride Island @ Pier 26 During NYC Pride Week June 23-25

From June 23-25, New York City introduces “Pride Island”–a three-day cultural experience/concert series that takes place during Pride Week at Pier 26. The event will feature performances by female artists in various genres (with a major headliner TBA for Sunday), and will inspire the LGBT community to come together in one place, to celebrate and dance, and to enjoy some stellar music.

The actual Pride March takes place on Sunday, June 25,  and at Pier 26 there will be a “Dance on the Pier” performance to close out the whole weekend. Amazing DJs will perform during the day, to get an awesome dance party going, and then later on the headliner will be announced. (Past headlining artists have included major artists like Jennifer Lopez, Whitney Houston and Cher.)

Pride Island is a fundraiser that will help NYC Pride to assist in the production of several free events such as Youth Carnival, Family Movie Night, PrideFest, The March, The Rally, and more. Follow the event with #nycpride and get ready for an awesome weekend of celebration.
