The Family Crest @ Boots and Saddle 5/10

The Family Crest started out as an idea to build a community for music. Founders Liam McCormick and John Seeterlin built The Family Crest from their love of music. Over time the band grew into something more than the music they were playing. The indie rock band performed all over the US at various shows. The Family Crest has released 6 albums and one live album since 2008.

The band gained national attention after their song, “Falling off the Wagon” debuted on a local San Francisco radio station in 2010. Pretty soon, their name and music spread all across the west coast. In 2012, The Family Crest performed a live set at KFOG Playspace in San Francisco. “Falling off the Wagon” was one of The Family Crest’s most popular single, appearing on various shows and ads. For a while, The Family Crest songs were used as the theme song for GoPro’s launch campaign in 2013. Two years later, the band was featured in GoPro’s launch of music products. Their song, “Make Me a Boat” was also featured in the music video. In 2013, The Family Crest signed with Portland music label, Tender Loving Empire.

After the announcement of their label signing, The Family Crest released a single from their upcoming EP, The Headwinds. The EP was released in July 2013. The last album the band released was back in 2014. Since then, The Family Crest has been playing various shows over the US. If in need of some fresh music, The Family Crest will be in town.
