Justine Skye @ Brick & Mortar Music Hall 5/28

R&B singer Justine Skye is making moves into the Bay this spring. She will be performing at the Brick & Mortar Music Hall on May 28th, the best day for you to say goodbye to spring and hello to summer 2017. The singer will be ending her current tour, the 8 Ounce Tour, in San Francisco.

The 21 year old has been making waves as of late in the music scene. Skye’s most recent release was in late last year with her EP 8 Ounces. That EP is known for the hit songs Still, Girlfriend, Love Song, and my personal favorite Agenda. Previous to that the artist has released two other EPs, 2015’s Emotionally Unavailable and her debut 2013’s Everyday Living. Her 2015 album is responsible for the hits I’m Yours, On & On, and Don’t Worry; her 2013 albums is also known for the songs Hard Work, Everyday Living, and I Don’t Wanna. Skye has also released a few singles that have blown up on Spotify and on the web, for example Collide which she collabed with Tyga, U Don’t Know which features Wizkid, and Fun which features Wale. Skye’s sound is perfect mix of R&B and soul; her voice has the perfect quality to make a nice lowjam. Her lyrics are ace and her songwriting is perfection and finely crafted for someone so young.

Fans of Kehlani, Mila J, and Tiara Thomas will be down for this show and every other musical endeavor that Skye embarks on in the future due to her dope sound. Not only is this a prime time to kick your summer off, but Skye’s music is fun, soulful, and contagious. Grab a ticket and I’ll catch you all there!
