T.I @ Mezzanine 5/30

Rapper and overall star, T.I is heading into San Francisco this spring. He will be performing at the Mezzanine on May 30th, right at the beginning of the summer. This stop will be a part of his The Hustle Gang Tour, which he is headlining. Openers for the rapper include various acts like RaRa, Yung Booke, and London Jae.

T.I has been a dominate figure in the rap scene for the last 15 years. He has been nicknamed the “Jay-Z of the South” due to his lyrical genius. The rapper’s most recent release was 2016’s Us or Else: Letter to the System. That album is known for the songs Switchin’ Lanes, Black Man, and Take da Wheel. Other than that the rapper has released a total of nine studio albums, 10 mixtapes, and an impressive 101 singles throughout his career. Some of his most notable songs include Live Your Life, Whatever You Like, Dead and Gone, Bring Em Out, That’s What She Wrote, and About the Money. All of those songs span his career, so the rapper has spent the better part of his career riding success. The rapper’s style is really influenced by his southern roots, which he mentions frequently, his fast style, honest lyrics, and catchy hooks. The collabs T.I has done over the years are diverse and what makes his music so fresh and inviting for commercial success. From the likes of Rhianna to Eminiem to Justin Timberlake to my personal idol Keysha Cole, the rapper knows how to make his hits sell.

Fans of Ludacris, Bow Wow, or Rick Ross will be down for this show. T.I is one of the greats from our current generation of rappers, his shows are meant to be an experience. So, catch a ticket and hit up his set. Since his opening act is diverse in size, make sure to get to the venue earlier so you can learn a bit more about these artists and the message they are bringing with them.
