American Authors @ Shoreline Ampitheatre 8/4

Rock band American Authors are heading into the Bay this summer! They will be hitting up the Shoreline Amphitheatre on August 4th as a part of the Vans Warped Tour. The band will be playing some point in the day, so make sure to add them to your list of bands to hit up that day!

The band’s origins begin at the Berklee College of Music, where the four piece met while studying music. The band’s sound is a mix of classic rock and a bit of pop. The band’s most recent release came out this year with the single Everything, Everything, a song that is featured on the soundtrack of the Disney movie Born in China. Other than that their last full album release came in 2016 with their sophomore album What We Live For. That album is known for the songs I’m Born To Run, Pride, and Go Big or Go Home. Those songs have the rock edge with a bit of folk vibes with the instrumental aspects. Before that the band released their debut album Oh, What a Life, which was released in 2014. It was this album that gave the band their mainstream success. Their hits from that album include Best Day of My Life, Believer, Trouble, and Luck. Their song Best Day of My Life went on to be featured in various commercials and was a hit commercially around the world. Other than that the band has been notable on the touring scene and have also released a total of six EPs, which everyone should check out! The band’s sound is fun, folk rocky, and cheerful. It’s good vibes and fun to sing along to.

Fans of X Ambassadors, Bad Suns, and Neon Trees should hit this set up when they are spending all day at adult day care AKA Warped Tour. That music festival is a fantastic beast in it’s own right, but add in this fantastic band? It’s a guaranteed good time. So, hit them up and you won’t regret it!
