Global superstar, singer-songwriter, Lana Del Rey unveils her latest single and title track today from her upcoming new album Lust For Life. The single is currently available to buy and stream on all streaming services.
The song aired Wednesday (April 19) on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1 show and features vocals from The Weeknd, which Del Rey revealed in an interview with Courtney Love for this month’s Dazed magazine. Apparently the song was reworked from its original version after consulting Swedish songwriter-producer and pop guru Max Martin, who suggested that Del Rey’s verse became the song’s chorus.
“Lust For Life” is the second track to be released from Lana’s forthcoming album, debuting later this year. The song follows February’s “Love.” The album is a body of work created by Lana and her longtime producer and collaborator Rick Nowels. Del Rey has noted, in her interview with MistaJam, that the record will feature “an acoustic side,” including one song called “Yosemite” and her previously announced collaboration with Sean Lennon, “Tomorrow Never Came.”
An album release date has not yet been confirmed, so hopefully we’ll get some more information soon.
