This summer will showcase a rock mashup of the year with AFI and Circa Survive’s announcement that they’d be co-headlining a tour, beginning this coming May. The duo will kick off the massive four month long world tour alongside Citizen as the supporting artist, in London and make their way through Pittsburgh, PI; Nashville, TN; and San Diego, CA before finally closing the show in Seattle, WA on Aug. 5. Tickets are available for purchase this Friday, April 21. AFI made the big announcement over their official Twitter page and got fans buzzing.

AFI will be promoting thier newest album released earlier this year entitled The Blood Album which recieved critical acclaim and topped the charts, landing at number five of The Billboard 200. They performed popular track “Snow Cats” on Jimmy Kimmel Live and sold-out two nights when they performed at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Catch AFI at the Download festival this June in England alongside Prophets of Rage and System of a Down. You can click here to watch awesome post stuido footage with Dreamcar and No Doubt members.

Circa Survive will be rallying off his momentum from their 10-year anniversary tour for On Letting Go. Last year, he was also featured on the lineup of Travis Barker MUSINK’s and played at the Warfield in December. In Sept. that year, frontman Anthony Green participated in an AMA on Reddit and gave fans hope that the band was possibly working on a new album.

Until then, I’m more than happy to attend an AFI and Circa Survive concert to force the time to pass a little bit faster. Click below for a complete list of dates and venues the rock groups will be heading to this summer.

Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
