Musician and record producer Josh Homme of Queens of Stone Age recently put out a short teaser on Twitter saying “Coming Twenty Five,” and when he called into News.com.au to tell them about upcoming tour dates he declined to comment on the teaser in fears he’d give away too many details. However, he did clear up rumors that they’d be featuring anyone on the upcoming album, and stated there’d be no guests.
One thing’s for sure though, that Queen of the Stone Age will be releasing a single by the time they go on tour in Australia this July. Before the tour, Homme had to make sure his body was able to perform and opened up about his recent surgery.
“We have been hitting it hard when it comes to my body and it’s always ‘We will deal with you later’,” he said. “I had surgery on my wrist once before and four days later, I was on tour in Australia. My doctor called me a dipshit. I had a problem with my tendon, it was very difficult for me to flip the bird for a while.”
Last week, he posted a picture of himself with his wrist bandaged up and is hopefully on the road to a speedy recovery.
Queens of the Stone Age are set to perform at the upcoming Fuji Rock Festival this year alongside Lorde and Aphex Twin.
