Holy Wave @ Barracuda 5/5

Holy Wave is a five-piece band originally from El Paso, TX, they have been rocking out in Austin, TX since 2008. The group’s overall sound is a mix of psych, surf rock and garage pop; in most cases their songs do have a ‘dream-like’ effect to them. They have released 3 studio albums; Freaks of Nurture is their latest album that was released last February. The band is currently under two record labels, Reverberation Appreciation Society and Burger Records.

The band has proved themselves in Austin by doing shows around town and being an annual guest at Austin Psych Fest.  Austin-based bands: Night Beats, A Giant Dog, American Sharks, Chris Catalena, Rotten Mangos and TEE VEE, as well as Al Lover from San Francisco, California, will all be performing along with Holy Wave. It will be a garage-rock, dream-pop and psychedelic kind of night for fans to enjoy.
