Grammy award winning pop-rock band Maroon 5 is coming to the Bay in two months! They will be playing on the second day of the BottleRock Festival, which will also be headlined on the last day by the Foo Fighters.
Maroon 5 has been a cultural staple for the past 15 years (yup, you read that right). They have been knocking out radio hits practically every year within that time span. Most recently, the band reported that they will be releasing their sixth studio album sometime this year. In the meantime, in January the band released the single Cold which features rapper Future and also put out the single Don’t Wanna Know with Kendrick Lamar the previous October. The band’s last album was released in 2014 and was titled V. That album has the hits Maps, Animals, Sugar, and Feelings. That album showed the band’s versatility and influence due to them heavily leaning on a different pop style. Previous to that that band has released four other albums as Maroon 5. Other big hits that the band has released were from their 2012 album Overexposed with the songs Payphone, One More Night, and Daylight. Other albums and singles they are known for include Misery, Moves Like Jagger, Never Gonna Leave This Bed, If I Never See Your Face Again, Wake Up Call, Won’t Go Home Without You. The band broke through way back in 2002 with their infamous album Songs About Jane, which had their mega hits This Love, She Will Be Loved, and Sunday Morning. The band’s style falls under the range of pop-rock, in the past more rock and currently a bit more pop. They also border on funk-pop and dance-rock.
Fans of John Mayer, OneRepublic, and Train will love and do love this band. Maroon 5 got the market on love songs and fun pop hits. They will continue to be successful from now and into the future, so grab a ticket and go dance your weekend away with them.
