Emily Cavanagh will perform at Schuba’s on June 2nd. The singer/songwriter is expected to release new music in late spring which will consist of a mix of covers and original songs. Cavanagh’s music is a nice blend of 40’s/50’s old school mixed with new pop.
The artist is able to split her time between creating music and helping others. She is a proud activist and her main cause is helping homeless young adults find their voice through the arts. Cavanagh performed her song “Dark was the Night” for The United Nations, Georgetown University and The Jewish Museum of Heritage. The song honors the survivors of the Rwandan Genocide.
Make sure to come out and support this young woman when she stops back in her hometown of Chicago in June.
