Kid Koala announced on his twitter account that he will be releasing follow up to The Slew’s first album. Dynomite D and Australian rock musicians Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, formerly of the band Wolfmother are all participants of the new album just as they were on its predecessor.

It was announced earlier that Mike Patton and Jon Spencer would be a part of the new Slew album. The announcement came from Kid Koala who said, ““it only seemed natural to have him (Patton) on the record.” Spencer had intended on a collaboration with Kid Koala at some point and this seems to be it.

The tweets that were posted where of studio equipment with captions that leave a sense of being antagonized and getting anxious for more. The posts left no hint at a release date but did let us know that the sessions are being held in Seattle. With a hash-tag line that respectfully consisted of a grunge shout out to the city’s rich history as well as others. The tweets can be found below.

Kid Koala presents The Slew’s first album was met with great critical acclaim. Some compared it to dance music’s equivalent of Black Sabbath, which is a beautiful compliment.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
